29 Weeks
Well, Monday I turned 29 weeks! Yipee! Our initial goal was to make it to 30, so we are only 3 days away! Last week I was still 1 cm and everything looked good so I am hoping to get back to work next week. For now I am enjoying getting out of the house every now and then.

Bake a little longer!
Yesterday I made my 3rd trip to the doctor for the week! My Braxton Hicks contractions with this pregnancy have been quite brutal so on Monday I decided to call my doctor. Something just didn't feel right. She said it sounded like a bladder infection and put me on some antibiotics. When Tuesday rolled around and the contractions were still holding strong, the NP had me come in for a visit. She checked me and said I was dilated very little, but still dilated, and sent me home to rest and told me to stay home the next day. Yesterday rolled around and I still felt bad, so off to see my doctor I went. Luckily we got two good results when we got there: my fetal fibronectin test came back NEGATIVE and my urine that was sent to lab showed that I DIDN'T have an infection! These were both good signs because the FFN test meant that I was highly unlikely to go into labor in the next 2 weeks and the negative urine results meant that an infection was not present (which is a big contributor to preterm labor). Unfortunately, we had no idea what was causing me to dilate, so off to L&D Testing I went. I had several tests run that luckily came back negative so my doctor decided to just put me on bed rest and see me back in a week. At first I was okay with the plan until I realized that I would no longer be able to pick up Kristopher. My heart sank. Right now I am only allowed to get up to shower, eat and use the bathroom. It may sound nice, but even as a Mommy to an 18 month old, this is not the rest that I ever wanted. BUT it's all for my baby girl, Brynne Leigh, and I will do whatever it takes to keep her baking for a little longer. I already love her more than life itself and I would do anything in the world for her. For now, we pray!
